Lead Business Analyst
Salary up to $130k
Location = Work from home anywhere on the east coast (75% travel required)
The Sr. Business Analyst works closely with clients, analyzing existing systems and processes, and identifying appropriate opportunities to utilize the client product.
Responsibilities
The Business Analyst is responsible for analysis, determination, implementation, testing, and maintenance of Decision Models to meet client business requirements
Conduct discovery meetings with Customer, Product Manager and Subject Matter Experts to identify and generate functional requirements encompassing process, decision and data model domains
Advise clients on the most appropriate use of the DECISION tool in order to meet requirements
Establish relationships with client’s business and technology stakeholders, working closely to facilitate the implementation of the DECISION product and The Decision Model (TDM).
Formulate business policies and processes into Decision Models (Business Rules) and Business Process Models (BPM) using BPMN.
Build decision models and rule families while ensuring reusability across applications
Assist in the business decision/rules design to ensure rules reflect the business intent and result in the desired business behavior
Structure the decisions/rules based on The Decision Model within the DECISION BDMS and their execution in BRM systems
Work closely with internal and external business units and serve clients and other interested parties
Assist with on-going DECISION maintenance and future development: quality assurance, production support, documentation, and training
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a business analyst in the financial services industry
Experience defining business architecture in complex enterprise environments
A strong understanding of technology pertaining to the integration of BPM and Decision Models
Experience working with various business aspects using BPM and Business Rules Engines within a SOA environment
Experience working as a vendor or consultant in a client environment or experience in a heavily customer focused environment
Development experience with Business Rules Management Systems and/or Business Process Management Systems with an understanding of business rules architecture
Experience with one or more of the following technologies:
Business process modelling
The Decision Model method
Conceptual and logical data modelling
Business logic modelling
Enterprise Decision Management
Business Rules Architecture
Rule Governance Frameworks
Stakeholder analysis experience
Understanding of SOA principles, implementation methodologies and related tools
Experience defining business architecture
Agile/SCRUM methodology experience a strong plus
Leadership experience is a strong plus, having led projects and teams
Proactive attitude, ability to work independently and a desire to continuously learn new skills and technologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills & customer-focused attitude
Must be willing to travel 75%+ of the time to client sites

Adecco Engineering and Technical is currently recruiting for a Software Developer for an 18 month contract job opportunity located in New York, NY. The Software Developer will be responsible for an order tracking system. Front end is HTML5 / Javascript, backend is .NET, and the database will be Oracle. This is a large project which will be deployed in multiple regions across many different servers. Efficient code and proper design will be the key to the success of this project. The manager wants motivated candidates who enjoy solving difficult problems; enthusiastic people who take initiative and work well with others.
Responsibilities for Software Developer include but are not limited to the following:
Researches, designs, develops and integrates applications at a mid-level as per written specifications
Write new software or make modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with written specifications
Essential day-to-day responsibilities include performing coding assignments, unit testing, ensuring development standards are being followed, analyzing functional specifications, producing technical specifications and unit testing scripts, and participating in team code reviews and impact assessments.
Participate in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work.
Makes suggestions for problem solutions or software enhancements, which will typically be reviewed by a more senior developer.
Provide accurate and timely status reports on work progress.
Other duties will include; Production support and subsequent defect research, assistance in technical and/or system documentation may be needed to aid support teams.
Software Developer candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
One to three years development experience.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills enabling comprehension of complex business and product issues
Experience in formal software development lifecycle
Strong organization skills
Ability to meet deadlines, goals and objectives within time line
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible, proactive, quick learner, and possess strong team attitude
Educated or experience writing software in any of the following languages: Java, C or .Net
Educated or experience/background in Analysis and Design, ability to write technical documentation, comprehensive testing.
Experience with web services, WCF, AJAX, JQuery, MVC, XRM is an added plus
Educated or experience / background in Client Server Architectures, Software Development
